Systems/Software: Adobe Photoshop, Windows Server 2012 R2
Case Study:
An Active Directory environment is reliant on special Servers which point computers in the right direction for reaching other hosts and network resources. A phone book of sorts, the Domain Name System translates complex IP addresses into human-friendly names. DNS servers play a critical role in allowing hundreds of workstations and servers to be “aware” of each other's location on a network which allows them to “speak” to one another.
Digital assets were created in Adobe Photoshop. Windows Server 2012 R2 powered the research into this guide.
"According to Internet Live Stats, there are 996,814,563 websites on the internet! They all exist on millions of computers around the world, each with their own address. How are we able to find the one we’re looking for? Behind the scenes, there’s a network of special computers called DNS servers. DNS servers are to networks as GPS devices are to drivers. They give directions to other computers in a similar fashion to how a GPS directs drivers to addresses.”
